Array Rep Power:       88 Reputation:       15088 It's still 1995, hip hop pls
i was basically
my self silly to old Jordan clips, so here's one i've prepared earlier

watch it, DO IT!!!! guys a freak full stop.
One of the most under rated by the masses and one of the most rated by those in the know had just landed in my hands and it became one of my all time favorites very very quickly, this was just pure underground hip hop finding its way into the right hands, my body truly was ready

was the 10th album to change my life
"word up y'all this beat is ill".gif)
ye just knew before the song even got to the first chorus, something special was about to unfold, this was one of those, just play it over and over tracks, throwing out the Queensbridge shout out just gave it street cred, but it was all about the tempo for me, just a slow roll and like all my favorite hip hop, best heard after midnight
was a classic about half way through the first verse
AINT NO SUCH THING AS HALF WAY CROOKS!!!!!!! - ALL TIME

this track was the one that made me think no matter what happens from here, i will always listen to anything these guys do, its just an absolute banger, this had its own sound, pure gangster but it was those goddam beats that were stone cold, if you aren't nodding your head to this, i feel for you son
FIYA!!!!! STRAIGHT FIYA!!!!!!!!

Trust me, nigga couldn't touch me if he snuff me
So bust me, you're gonna have to, 'cause I'ma blast you
My lyrical like a miracle, ill spiritual
I'm born wit' it, I'm gettin' on wit' it
An' I'ma have it 'til I'm fuckin' dead and gone wit' it
for a bunch a cunts i had never heard of this was more almost more of a shock, to me Give up the Goods was about a close to a 10 as you can get, the beat was so so smooth and the rhymes are completely infectious, even listening to it now, its still about as smooth as is a choon can be, unbelievable track
still one of the great storytelling rhymes of all time, listening to it back then it just painted a perfect picture of what was happening and if you could ever put a chick singin in to any gangsters song to just boost a chorus, this was it, soooo much soul AND..........AND

BEAT

told ya eminem would get a mention
this guys a gangster, his real names Clarence
to all the killers and a hundred dollar billas - ALL TIME................ ALL TIME
I got you stuck off the realness, we be the infamous
you heard of us
official Queensbridge murderers
the Mobb comes equipped with warfare, beware
of my crime family who got nuff shots to share
for all of those who wanna profile and pose
rock you in your face, stab your brain wit' your nosebone
you all alone in these streets, cousin
every man for theirself in this land we be gunnin'
and keep them shook crews runnin'
like they supposed to
they come around but they never come close to
I can see it inside your face
you're in the wrong place
cowards like you just get they're whole body laced up
with bullet holes and such
speak the wrong words man and you will get touched
you can put your whole army against my team and
I guarantee you it'll be your very last time breathin'
your simple words just don't move me
you're minor, we're major
you all up in the game and don't deserve to be a player
don't make me have to call your name out
your crew is featherweight
my gunshots'll make you levitate
I'm only nineteen but my mind is old
and when the things get for real my warm heart turns cold
another nigga deceased, another story gets told
it ain't nothin' really
hey, yo dun spark the Phillie
so I can get my mind off these yellowbacked niggas
why they still alive I don't know, go figure
meanwhile back in Queens the realness is foundation
if I die I couldn't choose a better location
when the slugs penetrate you feel a burning sensation
getting closer to God in a tight situation

now, take these words home and think it through
or the next rhyme I write might be about you
Son, they shook...
'cause ain't no such things as halfway crooks
REWIND THAT SHIT AND PLAY IT BACK RIGHT NOW - THIS ISN'T PART OF THE SONG, THIS IS flight23 TELLING YOU TO REWIND THAT SHIT AND LISTEN TO IT AGAIN
i actually didnt want to hear the whole song, it was too good, i replayed that first verse about 20 times
For every rhyme I write, its 25 to life
yo, it's a must the gats we trust safeguardin' my life
ain't no time for hesitation
that only leads to incarceration
you don't know me, there's no relation
Queensbridge niggas don't play
I don't got time for your petty thinking mind
son, I'm bigga than those claimin' that you pack heat
but you're scared to hold
and when the smoke clears you'll be left with one in your dome
13 years in the projects, my mentality is what, kid
you talk a good one but you don't want it
sometimes I wonder do I deserve to live
or am I going to burn in hell for all the things I did
no time to dwell on that 'cause my brain reacts
front if you want kid, lay on your back
I don't fake that kid you know I bring it to you live
stay in a child's place, kid you out o' line
criminal minds thirsty for recognition
I'm sippin' E&J, got my mind flippin'
I'm buggin' think I'm how bizar to hold my hustlin'
get that loot kid, you know my function
cause long as I'm alive I'ma live illegal
and once I get on I'ma put on, on my people
react mix to lyrics like Macs I hit your dome up
when I roll up, don't be caught sleepin'
cause I'm creepin'
REWIND THAT SHIT AND PLAY IT BACK RIGHT NOW - THIS ISN'T PART OF THE SONG, THIS IS flight23 TELLING YOU TO REWIND THAT SHIT AND LISTEN TO IT AGAIN
its the perfect song, both verses are ridiculous and that beat will be getting used til all of us are long gone, it was a timeless gangster classic and you knew it before the lyrics even kicked in, it still completely blows me away now, but back then it was my favorite song for years
The Infamous changed my life forever because it just raised the bar on gangster rap and did it on both fronts, the beats goddam those beats were so tasty and then Havoc and Prodigy were just punching out some of the fiercest rhymes all through the album, there was about 3-4 DIFFERENT styled classics in there too and then SHOOK ONES just elevated them to ALL TIME for me

Array Rep Power:       88 Reputation:       15088 Dr. Dre, The Chronic (1992)
Label: Death Row, Interscope, Priority
Nas: “The Chronic was a psychedelic, funkadelic, California hip-hop genius piece of work. It lifted rap music as a whole to its next stage. That album single-handedly lifted the whole culture higher, made it stronger, kept it street, and it’s just beautiful. It’s a beautiful-sounding album and hardcore at the same time.”

Snoop Dogg, Doggystyle (1993)
Label: Death Row, Interscope, Atlantic
Nas: “At that point, Snoop was the most anticipated person in music. How could you do it twice was the question. You did The Chronic which was out of this world and then it was like, ‘What’s going to happen with Snoop?’ The whole world was waiting to know and they delivered.”

Array Rep Power:       88 Reputation:       15088 The year was 1996
it was the best of years IT WAS THE MUTHAFUCKEN BEST YEAR!!!!!!

72-10 BOOM!!!
was the most ruthless brutal annihilation of a sporting competition i have ever seen 1 team produce, Michael was in complete beast mode, Scottie went back to being the best number 2 and Dennis....well Dennis was Dennis

possibly the trade of the century (we had to give up Will Perdue
)
on the hip hop front, things were a little dry in my world, exposure was low again and Eddie Vedder and his mates were obliterating stereos and radios everywhere (made the Seattle win a little better i'll be honest)
somewhere along the lines i had heard Tupac talk about this dude from San Fran that he was digging, so i had a dig

was the 11th album to change my life
This was the closest thing i had heard to that Dre and Snoop sound, it was G-funk with a really cool MC, a Bootsy Collins/George Clinton dude chiming in and a chick going off her tits, i was IN!!!
First beat in and i knew this was a classic track, its just got
sound
Too Short nails his verse as well, it was just smoothe as fuck from go to woe, then MC Breed who had one of my favorite tracks with
brings it home. These 3 together was just the perfect combination for me
This song is the one that i still love playing, it just flows, the beat is phat and 4-Tay has all the time in the world, it sounded like it should have been a hit, no swearing, cool beat, great hook, but people needed Niggas with Guns back then
Off Parole changed my life because it made me realize the hip hop that i really liked was out there, it just wasn't getting played on the radio or in my circles, what Dre and Snoop had started 4-Tay had basically ripped and put his own spin on it
Don't fight the feeling which is his first album is probably my favorite of his, but 4-Tay has great music spread all over his albums
