5. Jay-Z - Reasonable Doubt (1996)

"This is not only the definitive album from H to the Izzo's catalogue, it's one of the ten most important rap records of the entire 1990's. It's possible to live without having heard it - but after you do, you'll wonder how you ever managed without it. Even nearly six years later, this album stands up to the best production and strongest lyricism coming out of any rap around the globe. If an album could be said to have made corny MC's into Jay-Z haters, this is the one." - Steve Juon
Recommended Listening: D'Evils, Can't Knock the Hustle, Brooklyn's Finest, Dead Presidents II, Coming of Age, Regrets.#YOTS

3. Enter the Wu-Tang (1993)

Simply the greatest rap group in the history of the genre, and the best debut album from any artist ever.
Recommended Listening: All.#YOTS

2. Bob Dylan - Blood on the Tracks (1975)

The best album from the best artist of all time. Could never foresee myself making a list with this not being number 1, but strangely enough, I have. This is Bob at his very very best. Also contains my favourite song ever, Tangled up in Blue.
Recommended Listening: All.#YOTS

1. Kanye West - My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy (2010)

Never thought Kanye would be able to top College Dropout, but he did, majorly. Every single song is incredible, and I still listen to it with the same amazement as I did the first time I heard it, even after 400+ plays (according to my phone, doesn't include CD listens :s) The production is up there with the very best I've heard, and every single verse/guest verse is on point.
Recommended Listening: All.

Would definitely disagree with #1, other than that solid list.

Array Rep Power:       35 Reputation:       4556 Top effort but obviously going to be subjective due to tastes in music.
Me personally would have included the following:
Daft Punk - Alive (2007). Concert was the absolute bomb. One of best electro sets I have ever heard.
Offspring - Smash (1994). Easily their best album. Absolute classics like self esteem, gotta get away, come out and play, bad habit etc.
D12 - Devils Night (2001). Purple pills, fight music, pimp like me, revelations.
The Strokes - Is this it (2001). Their debut album and my favourite.
Interpol - Turn on the bright lights (2001). Probably my favourite album of all time. Love every track and caters for different moods. Won't be everybody's cup of tea though. We're up all night to get lucky
