FIFA '12

Don't think there's already a thread on this...

Anyway, after the shower of shit that was FIFA '11 (not that I didn't pump a few hours into it ) my expectations for '12 were very, very low; probably won't buy it type low.

Bits and pieces have started leaking out, and it all looks pretty decent so far...new defending system, adding more precision dribbling, a new impact engine, and new player intelligence/attributes.

If they can implement some of the stuff already leaked well, add some other stuff, and MAJORLY fix manager mode, I still may buy it...

Manager mode is just a fucking disgrace. Riddled with bugs and problems. They don't seem to give a shit about it either, it's the same ridiculously poor quality ever year.

Yeah majorly this. Getting rid of scouting? Coach upgrades? Wtf is that shit!

The player growth system is just abysmal as well. Young kids always dropping ratings when they don't play for 2-3 weeks, players dropping in ratings for no apparent reason. You loan young players out for a season and their ratings wont change at all. You loan a player in for a year and it is impossible to sign them on to a permanent deal following the loan.
Not to mention the thousands of bugs including players disapearing from your squad etc.

Wouldn't mind EA losing the rights to Fifa and giving another company a crack TBH.

Agree tbh. The majority of changes they implement are either un-noticeable or done so over the top that they ruin the game (handball anyone?) Kinda sick of them...

Turned hand balls off after about 2 games. Good idea in theory but too many handballs for it to be realistic.

Ye this x1000. The new pass vision sounds kinda cool I guess...if your player has low passing attributes then the player (you) simply won't be able to see the players further upfield to pass it to, whereas a player with high passing attributes will be able to see further upfield.

I find the pace of the game to be a bit quick. Not sure if anyone else thinks the same...

Manager mode as said has been a joke. So many bugs, and with a budget like EA's they should fix it, but they will just take people's money for not much as per usual.

I thought Manager Mode was showing promise in 10, but as mentioned, the removal of the coaching upgrades and scouting has a major wtf.
