Go for a NAS or dedicated Media PC.
I am tending towards a NAS. Anyone have any experience with them? What is a good one?
Research done so far is the HP ProLiant N40L or QNAP T-412.

Need to know more about this for home. At the moment I am using MediaLink to share files to my PSP, but this is just a "mean-time" solution.#TIACMB

Array Rep Power:       36 Reputation:       5608 $340 is definitely cheapest online.
Can't afford to get it now though, and luckily my local PC store is the cheapest non sale usually (ARC shop), which has them for $360.
Wouldve bought it already, except HDD prices are still too high from the SE Asian floods.
Really depends on what you want out of it, and how much storage.
Look through either QNAP or Synology's ranges and see the features and stuff like that. And remember that you should usually not expect to use all the bays for pure storage in a NAS. Usually 1 bay is required for the safety bay in a RAID config, which will protect you in case a HDD dies.
Router: I use a Billion 7800n. Think there has been an upgrade on it, but it is regarded as one of the best routers on the market.Golf is stitched into my shirt
