Array Rep Power:       54 Reputation:       9794 Saw this Nike video a few years ago, and just thought Nash was one of the coolest guys on the planet:
I feel a bit guilty replying with "Phoenix" when people ask who I follow, because it's actually just Nash.
Kinda makes it hard when the franchise decides to trade Joe Johnson, Rondo, Stoudemire, Richardson, Marion & Dragic (heck, even Barkley & Kidd if we're going back far enough), while they put guys like Frye & Childress on for long term deals (both set to earn $30mill+ over five years) with stuff-all reward. I realise trades happen a lot more frequently than in the AFL, but it doesn't inspire a ton of confidence in a part-time fan.
Actually Hoping Nash goes somewhere else during the off-season, so I can support another team.Last edited by Spudregus_87; 20th April 2012 at 07:03 AM.

Array Rep Power:       35 Reputation:       4975 Whilst being a Jordan fan and following the Bulls in the early 90's a little bit, the team I really latched onto was the Charlotte Hornets. In the mid 90's they had the coolest team, Grandma Johnson, Muggsy Bogues, Anthony Mason and my all time favourite player, Glen Rice (I even chose 41 as my number when I was playing ball).
After the Hornets left for New Orleans, I kind of lost them and never picked another franchise. I do enjoy the work of Timmy Duncan and the Spurs, so they are a sort of team for me.Jimmies Status

Array Rep Power:       75 Reputation:       7408 I am a Heat man, I don't cop much shit on here and when I do, it's probably warranted, but I'm pretty much
here in regards to the Heat, I'd like someone else to show support for the team.
I was a passive fan last season, like I still followed box score and stuff, but this season with League Pass and having a fantasy team, I'm a lot more (but still not very) knowledgeable in regards to the entire league, not just the Heat.
It's a lot easier to follow when you can watch games, I know have a couple of Heat jerseys, so I am well and truly a committed fan now.
Admittedly, I was a fan of LeBron when he was at the Cavs, but I didn't really follow a team or any game then.

Played nba live 2004 which got me into NBA, it was out of two teams, Dallas who had a sick overall so it was easy to win, or a team that was more challenging but someone would had a great dunking ability. Decided it would be more fun to not start out following one of the better teams so I chose The Raptors/Carter.
A season or two later, Carter packs his bags....

Plus for some reason I just naturally disliked Lakers and Kobe so thought it was only right. Rondo proved my choice to be a good one as he and Allen are my fave players plus if i was to pick any similar type of NBA player to me Id say Rondo. (Cant say scalabrine coz im not as good).
But ye.. Rondo, Truth and Allen

Array Rep Power:       11 Reputation:       1051 I used to love the Lakers as I used to play for a team called the Bay City Lakers but I never really supporterd a team. Though when Bogut got drafted to the Bucks I started to shift my attention there and from then on I started supporting the Bucks and ever since I've loved watch Jennings my faviorute player go at it and have enjoyed seeing Ellis in a bucks jersey. Supporting Bucks, Liverpool and Bulldogs ain't very easy though.

Array Rep Power:       88 Reputation:       15039 posted this on another thread somewhere yesterday, agree 100%
I did one season of supercoach and was at a Dogs game and was stoked when someone kicked a goal against us (dude was in my Sc team) felt disgusted in myself and quit
but in other codes and especially ones that i'm not familiar with, really really helped bring me up to speed (to a certain level)
and league pass just changes EVERYTHING, having the option to watch all games is insane
even if you miss a game cos you think its gunna be crap, just go and watch it later

haha i am pretty much the opposite, was never a lebron fan when he was at the cavs so when he joined up i didnt know how to feel. its pretty difficult to passionately support somebody who you genuinely werent a fan of, despite how good they are. would obv love to see Dwade get a few more rings and finals mvps to his name tho
