Array Rep Power:       4 Reputation:       379 I'm always cautious when loading weights but have had three 20s on one side with nothing on the other side and it didn't tilt. Still shat myself when I realised as I normally unload one 20 at a time.

I always unload one by one. Unless i'm doing deadlifts in which the weights are already on the floor and I don't mind.
Checked out some 1RM calculator for deadlifts and they seemed so horribly wrong... Says my 1RM for deadlifts is 120-something-kg off of my usual 8 reps of 100kgs. When in reality i've already done 3 reps of 120kg already...

Array Rep Power:       31 Reputation:       5710 According to my homemade 1RM calculator (using rep calculations from a couple of reputable sources) it says 124Kg (FYI 3 reps @ 120Kgs is an estimated 1RM of 127kg). Everyone's body is different though, especially for compound exercises.

Array Rep Power:       31 Reputation:       5710 I've just uncovered a couple of gem posts from bigfaggy.
First is this tackling a topic called supercompensation. I've never heard of it before but it seems pretty interesting. Reading cptkirk's posts is worse than water torture so I'm going to do some of my own research and then post up more info

Secondly a poster linked to this post from bb.com dealing with bodyfat%. Judging from which I'm at approximately 15%

Can't really tell from that because that dude has an extremely different body to me. I'd say i'll be around the 10% zone though.

Array Rep Power:       4 Reputation:       379 I'm following the overtraining/deload method kirky mentioned. Footy training Monday and Wednesday consists of doing around 5 sets of 20 push ups, so doing upper body gym sesh Tuesday and Thursday. It's only on a mini scale and not properly designed but its the best I can do with the stupid push ups shit at training. I was doing this pre cptkirk posting this but it made feel a lot better there is merit in it.
Planning to introduce 20 rep squat; starting Saturday just to give my body a shock for the next month before I have to go into maintenance mode because I will be running 3x week. Doing the 20 rep shit because to start my workout today I done squats; done a warm up set, then 3 reps on my 6 rep max, upped the weight to my 1RM and couldnt do it (feelsbadman when you can feel the eyes watching you thinking lol y attempt something you can't do). So went back to my 6RM and only done 1 rep. Was so dissapoint - I did have footy training yesterday but my legs felt good.
To me this 20 rep squat stuff is something completely different to most workout I've come across, so if people want me to blog my progress on here while I am doing the 20 rep squats tell me. Preferably by repping me
