It's taken me 13 months (6 months of hard as fuck training and eating) to get from where I was to where I am, and I'm still nowhere near my goal. Reality TV shows are only interested in 6 week, unhealthy, ridiculous changes

Probably a good point, it's a lot easier to lose fat than gain muscle. I set my goal at 18 months and that may be cutting it thin, it certainly is a turtle race.

I always thought there would be a good reality show in getting average to skinny sized guys into a gym and bulking them up quickly. Proof you don't need roids or that much time.

Everyone is different I guess. One of my mates is just pretty much made up of pure test, and he put on well over 10kg in a few months at most, no roids.

The amount of size a tiny guy could put on in the length of a TV series could be pretty significant tbh.

Basmati rice + canned smoked chicken + various herbs and spices = winning.

I take two tubs of basmati rice to work, have 1 at 10am with 2 cans of tuna mixed into it (lemon and cracked pepper), then at lunch I mix two cans of breast fillet chicken into the other tub

Brown rice is much better for you, although it is more bland.

My only problem with brown rice is that it tastes like arse and has minimal benefits in comparison to basmati. If bulking, you can also eat more basmati rice in one sitting IMO, so it's good that way. If cutting brown is the way to go, but I don't think there's much difference either way tbh

It's pretty good, the Heinz chicken breast pieces actually resemble chicken and aren't too dry/bland etc. Safeway has them for $1 atm, take my local safeway's stock and I'll kill you

Can't you just cook your own chicken and use that?

A) It's a bit of a hassle
B) If you haven't got an adequate place to store it you might be risking food poisoning
C) Cans are just easier to keep around/more convenient
