Array Rep Power:       24 Reputation:       3414 I know that upper legs play just as big a part in movement, but downward force etc. (when taking off and landing when running and jumping) puts poundages and stress through all parts of your legs that are far greater than your bodyweight, so just your bodyweight wouldn't be (or at least shouldn't be) an unusual or especially difficult stress for your calves to manage to lift.
He wasn't doubling it though. He said he was doing 80-90kg on the calf raise. Unless he weighs 45kg, that's not doubling anything.
Short of going to a gym right now and showing everyone you can do it, what proof does anyone here have that they can lift the numbers they claim to? Again, not sure what motives I'd have to lie to complete strangers on the Internet. My life isn't that meaningless.Last edited by Damon_3388; 11th March 2012 at 04:57 PM.
It's such a fine line between stupid and clever.

Array Rep Power:       47 Reputation:       4973 I train with Crosby2Malkin and I have trained with Demba Ba. If I started claiming I could bench 100kg to 12 reps, I'm pretty sure I'd get called out for it.

There are juiced up powerlifters at my gym that struggle through 5x15 at 200!
You sure the weights weren't in lbs? I'd find 5x15 @ 110kg a bit more believable... tough thoAndrea Pirlo - the Lenny Hayes of international football
