I'm more of a pesimist than an optimist, but in the gym I'm like Tony fucking Robbins with all the positivity and good vibes and shit. You definitely need to be in the zone mentally to have a productive workout, there's no way I could have a good session if my mind is on other things. I know for certain my sets while i was stressing about getting into uni earlier this year were garbage.

I think there is "impressive" and then there's also "bullshit".

Array Rep Power:       24 Reputation:       3414 I don't get how anyone else's "proof" has been any more concrete or believeable than mine. But then again, I clearly don't grasp what's so amazing about doing ~200kg on the calf raise in the first place, so I must be bullshitting to claim that, right? I honestly wasn't aware it was any sort of unbelieveable figure to be pumping out reps at.

It's such a fine line between stupid and clever.

Array Rep Power:       47 Reputation:       4973 Tailbone up against the seat? I used to sit in the seat wrong, with my bum off the seat and only my lower back resting against it. I saw some dudes in there once (powerlifters) pressing some enormous amount, no doubt a struggle after their 15x240kg calf raise set, and overheard them both saying to each other to keep the tailbone pressed agaisnt the seat as you extend out and press the weight. I get lower back pain all the time but I'm fine after doing the leg press since I corrected my form.
