Do you have adjustable DB's? They are just weird weights if standard.

    Anyone Fitness First members?

Fitness First sheds clubs to shake UK debt

What I don't quite understand is, do they own the clubs (ie land and buildings) and are selling those, or are they selling the businesses as a going concern at the chosen locations? If the latter then it is likely they are under performing clubs and will not receive much from potential purchaser's. But I suppose if the banks are on the parent company's back to pay back debt, any proceeds will do.

    I loathe Fitness First.

My DB shoulder press is also 25kg, yet to be able to go up to 27.5kg. Crosby2Malkin have been doing the plate loaded machine shoulder press last couple of weeks though, felt like doing something different. Best I've managed is 55kg to 5 reps on that.

They'll only have 2 gyms (sorry, I mean "health clubs") left in Adelaide. Jetts and Anytime Fitness have destroyed their dominance of the market - but what did they expect to happen charging $21p/w?

I wonder what Fitness Firsts renewal rate is like?

Surely most people only ever sign up because they are fooled into it. Once they realise how much cheaper and better other gyms are they want out of their contracts but are locked in for a year.

Not great, from memory. But that's exactly why they are so pushy getting people into 12mth contracts.

Have recently begun ordering food from Lite N Easy. I've been getting a full 7-day package for a few weeks now, which gives you your three main meals, plus a bunch of snacks for during the day. A little pricey, but the quality is excellent, I'm never going hungry, and (most importantly) the food tastes great! Would recommend it to anyone who wants to eat healthy, but is time-poor and/or simply can't be bothered cooking/preparing different food each day.
It's such a fine line between stupid and clever.
