Array Rep Power:       47 Reputation:       4994 Very slowly getting stronger at the standing barbell shoulder press, managed a massive 5 reps on 40kg today

It's harder than it looks.

mate i was talking about that was like "i needa keep my traps in check" etc. sends me a message 2 days ago
"80kg bench press 4 reps"
then today sends me a message "90kg bench press 2 reps, im nearly as strong as you and ive only been training for 2 months haha"
A) his form is disgusting, he's complaining of shoulder soreness yet refuses to believe it's because he's progressing too quickly
B) who the fuck trains chest every second day
then he sent me a message "2 whoppers, dat protein", to which I replied "too bad it's matched with fat" and he goes "yeh but humans need fat man, you should try it you might see the gains im seeing"
a true
moment

Actually doing this as a competition on another forum that I frequent. The comeptition is; standing barbell shoulder press of half your body weight for as many reps as you can.
I managed 18 reps at 37.5kgs. (Some dude managed 25...)
It was painful, my rear delts have never seen a pump like that before. Admittedly, i've probably only done the exercise maybe once or twice before.

Array Rep Power:       47 Reputation:       4994 Yeah, this was only the third time I had done it as well and just started with an Olympic bar without weight. But since you're a hell of a lot stronger than me I'm considering today's efforts as a win for myself then.

It's a good exercise though. We've switched to the Hammer Strength shoulder press machine for awhile now but needed to do something to activate dem dere stabilising muscles so started doing this one. I recommend it to everyone on here.

Pretty mega legs session today, given I've been pretty sporadic with legs of late. Unfortunately, have a couple of plane flights on Tuesday morning. Thought that one through well.........Sebastian Vettel - 3x Formula One World Champion - 2010, 2011, 2012
