    Have people ever thought about betting on this? As a family member or insider you could make an absolute killing, and it would be legal as it's not regulated like the AFL. Even in the AFL, as an example, some betting agencies (probably dodgy ones) were taking bets on whether North's board would vote to be relocated to the Gold Coast. Couldn't a North board member/insider or a friend of one of them place a huge bet on, make a sizable amount of money and then donate it to the club? Obviously if it came out it wouldn't be a good look, but couldn't blame them if they tried pulling off something that outrageous.

    They usually limit the payouts to about $500, sometimes less (depends on which bookie) on specialty bets like this, to stop it from happening in cases where insider information can be used.
