    If apple removed them completely it would be enough to make me switch back to a windows computer. I use them too much for listening to music (always buy CD), and watching movies but more importantly i burn like a CD of music everyday (of my own making) to check out in the car and get levels right etc. Would disrupt my mixing process completely without optical drive.

    For $50 you can buy an optical drive far better than apple would ever put in one of their machines
