I'm an Adelaide supporter and have always hated West Coast, a lot, but they aren't doing anything illegal so it shouldn't be an issue, the rule shouldn't be changed either, you can't just change a rule everytime people don't like a tactic that is being used.

I've always thought that umpires tend to favour Victorian teams and now that a non-Victorian team is getting more free kicks, people are getting pissed. Get over it, if players tackle properly around the waist players won't be able to shrug the tackle up around their neck.

I like the Eagles a lot so I'm not having a go at the the players or supporters and tbf generally you've acknowledged it's a problem. But it's funny that when any player gets dragged into an issue like this, the team supporters:

- Turn a blind eye to the problem in general and defend their team
- Deflect onto another team/player that does it

I don't get what you're trying to say? We like this negative media attention? Notsureifsrs. Not really fapping over beating mid-table sides either, doesn't carry much weight.

Tbh the comment was tongue in cheek but this is more me expressing my distaste for arguments (not just in this thread) like:

"This wouldn't be an issue if we weren't undefeated on top of the ladder"
"This wouldn't be an issue if we were a Victorian side"
"Clarkson's just trying to deflect from his side's poor performance"
"The Hawks can't talk, look at Cyril, Lewis, Whitecross etc"

But it does go both ways (people putting all the blame on West Coast) which doesn't help

Not sure if serious. Losing coaches are always looking for reasons after losses to deflect from their teams. When did both of them bring it up? In a post-game press conference in games they had just lost. Could have brought it up any other time if they thought it was a real issue.

The head of umpiring sees no problem why should anyone else? I just think Scott and Clarkson should get over it a little, get the tissues out and dry their eyes and noses. If others could tackle correctly, we wouldn't have this debate at all. On another subject, also can you please send Picken our way, he's going to be a jet.

I'd say Brent Harvey is one of the better users of the handball into space before getting tackled so get called for being held without the ball (Not saying he pioneered it)

But surely that is a similar exploitation of the rules, yet we think nothing of it?
