"I saw a cockroach playing Pacman. It was on the internet, right, and somebody had linked up a cockroach to err... to some... I can't even be bothered explaining it, but that's what I'm saying - everything is moving on."

Array Rep Power:       19 Reputation:       1569 Just got home, what a fucking game. That last qtr felt like it went for a year.
First of all, E-Mac now must be considered amongst the elite defenders in the game. Hasn't been beaten for ages, and smashed Buddy tonight. Franklin kicked 1 goal which wasn't Eric's fault, and did nothing but give away free kicks all night (7 all up).
Kerr's game was awesome, conditions definitely suited him.
Adam Selwood's job on Rioli pivotal too. Rioli threatened to win the game at the end but overall was well beaten.
NicNat and Cox have been quiet for 2 games now, but lifted when needed tonight.
Naitanui's tackle on Lewis that got given in the back instead of holding the ball at the end
Lynch/Kennedy/Darling didn't have as much influence as I thought they would, and credit to the Hawks defense who stood up, especially without Birchall. Conditions did not suit them tho, and it took us far too long to realise bombing it in long and high wasn't work to work.
Shuey's courage to come back on twice after getting his shoulder fucked up
4-0 and top of the ladder

Array Rep Power:       19 Reputation:       2768 By the way, does anyone know the last time that a team went in goalless at HT and won the game? Couldn't imagine its happened in a long, long time (if ever)
EDIT: Researched myself. Adelaide beat North in Round 18 2004 against North. 0.10 to 1.8 at half time and prevailed 5.19 to 5.12. Pretty close to yesterdays score. Not as spectacular a stat as I'd have thought.

Array Rep Power:       86 Reputation:       9640 Fuck off Clarkson you inbred hick. The condescenting little shit goes on about our supposed head ducking when his players constant diving goes untalked about. Out of the 22 free kicks they got Id say that roughly 10 of them were from Hawks midfielders diving forward in the tackle. Tomato, Tomatoe. Its the same thing Clarko. We had the worse of the umpires. In general play, no but behind the ball Hawthorn should of given away atleast 10-15 free kicks that werent given because simply no one was watching. Dirty team they are. Literally every time a player kicked the ball, Hawks would run over and knock that player over. Or after every mark was completed half a second later a Hawks player would be in to deliver a spoil to the head.

Shutup. If I wanted too I could come down there and beat you like a rented mule, or a mule for purchase. Bottom line is if there is livestock involved, ill beat you like it

Array Rep Power:       25 Reputation:       4608 Has been there for a while in my estimation, outstanding young defender, consistently gets the job done on the opponents top forwards. Kicking is a little bit dodgy at times but, in the 1 v 1 contests he is very rarely beaten. His emergence into a top KPD last season was one of the major reasons you turned things around so dramatically.

Rumblah you're being pretty harsh on Bruce, sure he's a complete waste of space and he is stopping the development of other youngsters but he did a superb job on Hurn last night. Hurn has been one of the form players in the comp, and Bruce kept him to 7 possies.

Array Rep Power:       61 Reputation:       7927 It's all well and good to stop someone but when you don't hit a target all night, take an advantage from a freekick to handball to the opposition one metre away it makes it hard for me to see it as a good game.
If Boumann played instead of Bruce last night, it frees up Gibson and to a lesser extent Schoenmakers (wouldn't have played on Kennedy) we suddenly look a fuck load better in the back half.
As you said he's a complete waste of space, if it wasn't for a few key injuries he wouldn't have played, and I understand that. Still would have preffered Tom Murphy to come in and release Burgoyne to half forward.
At the end of the day West Coast were the better team, for the best part of the game. There's no denying that. I just get frustrated seeing complete fucking hacks in my side, especially when we're supposed to be a top 4 side.
Osborne dropped crucial marks, fucked up kicks, don't think he did anything of quality at all to be honest. Clinton Young doesn't attack the ball, can't hit short targets and is fairly pathetic as an AFL footballer. Bruce is Bruce.
