Array Rep Power:       40 Reputation:       5634 Official Ash Mcgrath Debate Thread
Noooooo just shut up lol. You actually have no idea but you keep doing on and on and on. You have actually changed the subject more than three times.
You under rate him so much it's not funny. Like you think Wood is better than him.
If you can't get these small facts right i suggest you start looking into a new career path.
Like... in what world is Wood better?

Array Rep Power:       17 Reputation:       2420 Again with the "oh you are changing the subject". I'm yet to see you put forward any sort of point arguing for mcgrath other than "lol Gus is stupid". r dub also agreed that McGrath is a journeyman who wouldn't get a game in a top 8 side.
Wood has a better kick, is considerably younger and takes the game on. McGrath is, as I've mentioned before, a slightly improved jake king who can play backline.

Array Rep Power:       17 Reputation:       2420 To Rumblah who was claiming Mcgrath is a goal kicker, and to axel who says he is a small forward. If he is a goalkicker and even a part-time small forward then how is averaging less than a goal a game good?
Christ's sake, you are about as good at comprehension as eachother.

Array Rep Power:       40 Reputation:       5634 Hahahahah. I've put so many cases forward it's not funny. Plz actually read..
This whole thing started when you thought that he couldn't crack into a top four side when i gave so many players in the teams which he could over take. Like.. you thought Toovey was better?
You're trolling now, you have to learn soon that this troll isn't good.... You really think Mcgrath is a better kick???????????????????Wood has a better kick, is considerably younger and takes the game on. McGrath is, as I've mentioned before, a slightly improved jake king who can play backline.
Mcgrath was one of the reasons why we played finals in 09. His ability to play on in the half back and take the opponents on got us so many goals.. buuuuuuuuutttttt you clearly have no idea etc etc..

So much
Adelaide - don't know what their best 22 is, but he's better than Smith, Doughty, Petrenko, Wright etc. who play a lot of games on the flanks
Carlton - better than Russell or Tuohy depending on which is in the best 22, and the team would be better served pushing Armfield/Ellard out and moving Scotland to the middle
Collingwood - better option than Clarke or Yagmoor who are to take Davis' spot
Essendon - better than Hardingham down back and Reimers up forward
Fremantle - better than Ibbotson
Geelong - doesn't get a game
Gold Coast - goes without saying
Hawthorn - Osborne easily up forward, Young if he makes it into that backline
Melbourne - better than Davey, Bate, Petterd etc. (whichever ones stay forward), and better down back than Bartram
North - better than Thomas, Campbell, Wright, Warren, McKinley and basically all their small options bar Adams. Better than Sierakowski, Mullett or whoever takes that HBF role
Port - better than Surjan down back, do they even have a small forward?
Richmond - better than King, White, Edwards, Jackson etc.
St Kilda - better than Raph Clarke down back and whichever kids they bring in up forward
Sydney - better than Moore, Shaw, Jetta
West Coast - better than Nicoski and Ash Smith
Western Bulldogs - far better than Wood, also better than all your small forwards bar Gia (and you'd pick Dahlhaus because of age and upside)
There you go, 16/17 other clubs he walks into the best 22. Geelong he's better than Hunt for an emergency spot.Well, Your Honor. We've plenty of hearsay and conjecture. Those are kinds of evidence.

Array Rep Power:       53 Reputation:       8730 Even taking that particularly hardline opinion (vehemently disagree with the suggestion that he's worse than Lewis Jetta, Michael Osborne and Mark Nicoski for example), he still waltzes into two thirds of the league's teams.
EDIT: Some of those players (Ash Smith in particular) I rate incredibly highly.Last edited by Stanton; 23rd February 2012 at 09:24 PM.
