Random Thoughts Thread - AFL Version

    - Nick Riewoldt will never be elite until he learns how to kick for goal
    - Matty Scarlett shouldn't get the credit he gets because he hasn't had an opponent in 3 years
    - If there is a 1 sided free-kick count at half time, no matter the match situation, the umpires start paying 50/50 calls to even up the free kick count

    This.

And it's our most important players who are getting injured to with the most weird ways.

You've let yourself open to criticism here by expanding it to post-war. Melbourne circa 1950s and 60s surely deserve the title.

Dynasty? Would have thought they'd need multiple premierships in a row to reach a dynasty.

    - Essendon's fall from grace has the Bummers fans crying, but me lol'ing.
    - Our KP injuries have crushed us, we won't be a finals force until 2013.
    - Travis Cloke is not an elite forward.
    - Carlton will not win the 2011, 2012 or the 2013 Premiership, TorresIsNotGod.
    - Kennedy is more important to West Coast than what Judd was.
    - Shane Savage is an absolute star.

All of that seems at least reasonable except for the bolded. The 2006 premiership would not have belonged to West Coast without C. Judd

Out of interest, who are the current elite forwards and is there a limit to how many forwards can be classified as elite?

Hey. Easy. It's not Scarlett's fault Craigy decided to play Scarlett's direct opponent 100m in front of him. Scarlett still beat him soundly aswell
You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to breeno again

Tall forward-wise, I consider Jono Brown, Jack Riewoldt and Lance Franklin to be "elite". Josh Kennedy will be the next to hit that status in my opinion, and that's all it is, an opinion.

There is no limit, no. I do think that term "elite" gets thrown around way too much.

If Brown is elite then so is Nick Riewoldt.
"Homie, maybe we should go inside."

"But, Marge, that little guy hasn't done anything yet. Look at him. He's going to do something and you know it's going to be good."
