If he doesn't start your run from the HBF - which he typically doesn't against the better teams because he's a downhill skier - you're stuffed.

Also on you calling Patfull and Maguire quality.
He doesn't have to start our run, Scotland can, Tuohy can, Bower can, Gibbs can.

    So yeah, sorry again brah.

Interesting given how little there was between us last year.

Not really when you think about it, we ran you close at Subi without Gibbs, Kreuzer and Jamison, we have those 3 players and we win.

    Lecras, Nicoski and Embley....

Plus the only time there was little between us was when we were on the slide.

Carlton aren't a chance, they will never get it done with that forward line which has been evident season after season.

    Finally some sense.

Carlton will never win a flag with that forward line, and with so much reliance on Judd.

Hawthorn are behind West Coast for me though dub. That backline

I think they're a top quality outfit. Very good KPF, tough inside ball winning midfield with some good outside players and a good defence. Have a lot of players who should improve this year. Were just off the mark in 2011 and I can't see how they won't improve. Very underrated in Melbourne. Think that they are top 4 chances.

Hawthorn, Geelong and Collingwood are still the top 3 for me. Hawthorn have too many match winners (not to mention the best one going around) to never be a genuine threat.

I still have Collingwood and Geelong ahead of West Coast. Playing in Melbourne, and to be honest both have a better list right now. Aside from the inevitable ruck dominance I think both midfields should be too good for West Coast's.

Carlton slightly worry me. Awesome midfield. Unreliable KP players though. On their day they can beat any team in the finals, but they can't rely on someone like Waite to perform in every finals game.

    Hawthorn/Geelong/Collingwood

    WestCoast/Carlton

    The rest.

All good points but the highlighted area is where I think they'll struggle. They have some super hard ball winning midfielders but I'm not convinced on their delivery. A lot of heart and grunt that lacks a little polish which puts them in a 5th-8th bracket for mine. But that hardness in the contest will pick up a few scalps along the way (see Geelong at Skilled last season), just not convinced it can stand up week in, week out.

Unless Reid kicks 50 this year, that statement is wrong. Otherwise a top post.

McVeigh, Malceski, Shaw, Kennedy, Goodes, Jetta and Bolton are very good users of the ball and I'd back them in all the time to hit the target. Guys like Hannebery, Jack and Bird all can do it, but are prone to making errors.

We play a very contested brand of footy, but I think the all grunt and no polish tag isn't entirely correct anymore.
"Homie, maybe we should go inside."

Reid is already the best KPF under 22. He will have a breakout year next year, whilst being very good this year IMO. Fifty goals is not out of the question.
