Just looking on Footywire Port beat them here last year and have done the last 5 years they've played them at AAMI.

Also of interest Mitchell goes alright against them in a DT sense

So Kennedy wouldn't have had a big impact at all.

Naitanui wouldn't have made a big difference because Cox gave Bellchambers and Ryder an absolute bath in what was easily his best game of the year (in the ruck anyway - 5 goals is hard to argue with up forward). Yes, there's a chance Naitanui would have improved your midfield, but there's also a very good chance that he wouldn't have performed at Cox's level. So on balance he wouldn't have made a huge difference.

So that leaves Priddis. Was his absence the defining factor? Did he contribute to Selwood's worst game of the year, McGinnity not only failing completely in his tagging job but going the other way as well, Shuey being down? Gaff and Kerr were your two best after Cox.

So either we can conclude that Priddis out made you a 10 goal worse team than a heavily injured Essendon, or perhaps that you got a reality check that night.

You were injured, so were we. Yours were slightly worse, but not 62 points worse.
So much lol in this post. Naita is the best tap/clearance ruckman in the league.. if you don't think that has a significant impact on how your midfielders perform than just end yourself.

Take away your first touch inside midfielder and your midfield is half as useful, remember when Jobe got subbed against us last year? How did your midfield go then?

Kennedy is elite, naita is the best clearance ruckman in the league but our outs were only 'slightly worse'. You weren't missing anyone close to an elite level.

Hawks won. It was an awful Friday night game.

Hawthorn have won two games in Adelaide in ten years as it turns out.

Biggest game of the year for both teams imo. (in terms of overall impact on ladder)
How well do Sydney normally play at Etihad? Know that you don't have the best home and away record at the MCG, but is Etihad a different story?

Think that at the SCG it would be a close contest, but that at home they will have your measure.

Was that the year you asked permission to upgrade rookies because you didn't think you were going to have 22 fit players out there?

    Yes it was.

Amazing the amount of injuries Essendon had that season.

Somehow, we only have one injury at the moment, and it's only a minor quad strain for Mackay. dafuq?

I can only see the Tiges knocking out one of the Swans or Carlton. Given our post-bye fixture, I think we're a good chance.

    Bombers won't finish top four.
