I honestly don't get the media. They pressure the AFL on such trivial things, but refuse to get stuck in when there is serious business.

Some fantastic points in here, agree with just about everything. In particular the points regarding the media, it's as soft as butter. If someone writes 1 negative article, they are hung, drawn and quartered for having an agenda.

Wasn't impressed with the way they barged into Western Sydney either, the whole Phil Scully scenario was predictably swept under the rug and every allowance was made for them while the struggling established clubs continued to struggle.

Not all rule changes are bad but the AFL seems to bring in change for the sake of change. That is the main problem IMO.

I'll defend the AFL on the incorrect disposal thing tbh. I think they were forced into that change with how many numbers are constantly around the ball these days. The scrappy plays we see where players are constantly picking it up, being tackled and getting a kind of half handball away have come about natually, would you really want to see those paid as a free kick every time for incorrect disposal? We wouldn't see much of a free flowing contest, the game would be broken up by even more free kicks.

foxtel is amazing. but i like a lot of diff sports so i use it a lot. plus with so many channels theres always something on. If you want it just for AFl then probs not worth it, may as well head down to a pub or watch a dodgy stream.
