    Nobody breaks hearts like the Saints do. 1 premiership since 1873, they do also have the honour of finishing last more than any other club has as well. I think they'd parallel most closely with Everton.

    My dads a prick. That asshole was a Hawthorn supporter until 66 when they were last and Saints won the flag he thought hmm I think I'll jump on a winning team here. How's that worked out for you Dad. Cheers!

    Was a Geelong supporter up until I was about 3 and one day we went to the footy and Geelong got smashed and the old man said follow another team son, so I went with my mother and followed the bulldogs.

    TBH, the main reason I support North was because everybody in my school was either a Carlton/Collingwood/Essendon supporter. And I got into the AFL relatively late (1998 / aged 9).

    I looked at the ladder in late 98, laughed and jumped on the top team. And then we beat the Carlton/Essendon cunts to the flag a year later.

    And yes, I did the same with Arsenal in 98.

    you should start following the Demons. the oldest club, they play with a lot of heart and passion and will win a flag one day. they also have Jack Watts, the first female to play AFL. cant go wrong

    Definitely watch a few games first and get a feel for the game and the clubs. Eventually you'll gravitate towards one. That's how I found myself supporting the Ravens in the NFL last year and haven't looked back.

    That being said Adelaide are the reigning premiers of 2012

    Seriously though we are a team on the rise and should get better each year you watch for the next few years

    Hawks seem to always have that young female goal umpire. I find myself watching their games and hoping for a lot of scoring shots (at her end).
