Array Rep Power:       53 Reputation:       8564 No reason they can't do a Friday night double header, preferably one interstate one in vic but you could potentially have 2 games in a row at one AFL ground. Unlikely though.
2 Friday
4 Saturday
3 Sunday
That is perfection IMO.
They are never going to show 2 games in the same night anyway.
Crowd wise, well Friday night games seem to sell pretty well.

Array Rep Power:       12 Reputation:       2208 I like the idea myself. Not every week, but they could have a game in Melbourne/Brisbane/Sydney and one in Adelaide or Perth on the same night without losing too much in the way of ratings (not that ratings should determine the fixture anyway). Crowds would be up which would result in more $$$ from gate takings, food and grog sales.
From a Foxtel perspective, wouldn't a second Friday night game get higher ratings than a Sunday twilight game?I'll be waiting

Agreed with your points re:crowds.
Would the money raised at grounds every for the second Friday night match cover the money lost in the next TV deal for the fewer ratings? I don't think the ratings would diminish that much for a second match anyway, a double header Friday night could be a bit of a trademark.
