You seem to be forgetting that Martinez is far better in the transfer market and FAR superior tactically than Kenny. Sincerely hope he doesn't take the job, he's done a pretty fantastic job at Wigan. Put money on them to go down if he leaves.

Having said that, he's not Hodgson, which is an obvious positive.Sebastian Vettel - 3x Formula One World Champion - 2010, 2011, 2012

What's the evidence? Or are you just making excuses because you think you deserve bettter? Thanks for everything, Fergie

Array Rep Power:       86 Reputation:       9640 IMO Martinez 3-4-3 formation will work perfectly for the current Liverpool squad. Its born to play this formation. It works with your strengths (attacking full backs, alot of CBs) and gets rid of your weaknesses (shithouse wide midfielders). It gives a chance to Henderson/Shelvey to actually get a proper go at things and IMO it will play to your strengths. A 3-4-3 of say
Reina
Skrtel Agger Coates
Johnson Henderson Lucas Enrique
Gerrard Carroll Suarez
Thatd suit alot of people that formation. Gerrard and Suarez can drift around freely without much responsibility. Sacrifice a attacking winger for another CB, a area of strength. Purchase a left footed player for that front 3 so Gerrard can replace Henderson in the midfield. Another Lw/LB style footballer and another ST and things are setShutup. If I wanted too I could come down there and beat you like a rented mule, or a mule for purchase. Bottom line is if there is livestock involved, ill beat you like it

Array Rep Power:       11 Reputation:       1051 Still think 4-2-3-1 is the formation to go with going forward.
Reina?
Johnson/Kelly - Skrtel - Agger - Enrique
Lucas - Adam/Henderson/Shelvey/Signing?

Looking at RAWK just makes me mad everytime. Worst website in the world it has to be said.
Whoever FSG appoint will have my full support and I think Martinez will do a good job. As long as we don't ever see the owl cunt at Anfield ever again I am happy.TIA Fragrance Guru

Array Rep Power:       11 Reputation:       1051 In the transfer market Aurelio as found a new club, been a great servant and given us some top memories, if he wasn't so injury prone could have been an excellent player.
Think 5 signings minimum need to made, in order of what we need :
Right Winger
Striker
Attacking Midfielder
Left Winger (dependent on what new manager wants to do with downing)
Defensive Mid
Also possibly a centre back if Carragher is to retire. You'll Never Walk Alone

Array Rep Power:       78 Reputation:       7751 If we play a 4-2-3-1 with Lucas in DM - it has to be a passing DM/CM next to him, Charlie Adam is our best passer in that position, but he also cant tackle.
Alonso's tackling and ability to win the ball back was often over-looked because he could hit a 5c piece from 50 yards away.
If we are to play that formation, we need to replace Adam, ideally with Xabi Alonso, but if not, I have no idea who else could play that position.

Array Rep Power:       11 Reputation:       1051 Only thing I fear is if he has a rough start then it's very downhill from there. As long as we don't win a Europa League qualifier and Martinez doesn't come out and say it was a 'remarkable win' he's already ahead of Woy.
I quite like the personality Martinez has especially compared to someone like AVB who seems a bit self-orientated and could as it's been said before show no real emotion to the club, but any manager we sign is a huge risk as the expectation of such a mediocre squad is very high. You'll Never Walk Alone

Array Rep Power:       11 Reputation:       1051 I thought Adam played decent football next to Lucas when they played together, it was when Lucas got injured Charlie Adam wasn't fit enough to tie Grant Brebnar's shoelaces.

We need creativity in the side and fast attackers. Our slow labourious play contributed heavily to our low goal total and that needs to be rectified urgently.
A replacement for Downing and Gerrard needs to be found and we need another DM so we don't have to play Spearing.TIA Fragrance Guru

Array Rep Power:       86 Reputation:       9640 Whats the point of playing the same formation? Its been 4-2-3-1 for so many years now. It doesnt work now. Its time to move on and play a different style of football. You dont have the squad capable of playing a 4-2-3-1 anymore
