Array Rep Power:       80 Reputation:       8667 No chance in hell Ba would come in as any teams top striker/transfer. He would be a bench option type wherever he goes hence the 3 mill fee.
Ima predict Papiss Cisse as said international striker.

Array Rep Power:       4 Reputation:       413 Wow, we sold Nolan......not happy. He was the leader. Mike Ashley is really getting rid of the "boys club", which got the team back in the Championship. Joey Barton is not happy(whos idea was it for him to get a twitter account):S, saying
really worried now. Nolan was a great captain, and a good source of goals. hopefully we havent killed the team spirit which was at the club before. i said in the middle of the season that we couldnt sell Nolan(leader), Barton(creator) and Carroll(scorer) and continue to be successful, and now all 3 have gone(assuming Barton will go) in under 9 months.Great player, leader, captain, person, trainer and mostly a friend for life. Devastated to see him SOLD! #mejoseandjonasnext
In other News, Ba is coming(good, free) and Neil Taylor(another Taylor, great, didnt have trouble before, dont know anything about him)Tasmania Tigers - Sheffield Shield Champions 2007 2010 2013

Array Rep Power:       57 Reputation:       7039 Team spirit only gets you so far. We need quality, not spirit. Granted, you need a mix of both to be successful but I'm not going to say anything until the end of the window.
Nolan shouldn't have been in our best 11 next season, and for that reason I'm sort of happy he's gone - because at the captain he would have played in someones place. His output severely decreased when Carroll left (assisted 8 of Nolan's goals), and we're getting a younger, better player than Nolan for effecitively nothing (Cabaye).
Joey Barton is a wanker, and will probably get fined (as he should). I'd expect to get sacked if I came out in public and said bad things about my employer, it's no different.

Array Rep Power:       4 Reputation:       413 Yeah, Barton was not too smart though(he is Joey Barton, he doesnt think before he acts most of the time), , but it kinda plays to my fear. it takes time to build a new team culture, and the old successful culture of the last couple of years under Nolan will now be gone. I worried it could be a Colo/Jonas 1st year situation with all this new players taking time to settle into a new club, with the team culture now helping out in that area. And by taking away the leader, we could see more grumpy players.
Since January, we are going to have sold 4 out of the first 11 from the start of the year(assuming Enrique and Barton leave). That is a fair chuck, and that it not taking into account the Argies. I cant see Colo staying if what Barton said was too.
as for nolans output, yes he was too slow, and didnt have a fantastic pass on him, but he was a very good finisher. Its no good having a team with no one able to score goals from midfield. No doubt he loved working with Carroll, but we would have had a new good forward next year, to do what carroll was doing. There was a chance that he would starting scoring on a more regular basis again next season.Tasmania Tigers - Sheffield Shield Champions 2007 2010 2013

Shutup. If I wanted too I could come down there and beat you like a rented mule, or a mule for purchase. Bottom line is if there is livestock involved, ill beat you like it

Array Rep Power:       57 Reputation:       7039 I dunno, I can't actually remember either tbh.
It was Allardyce who signed him, so maybe I'm wrong. Even so, he has huge tabs on himself and can't see him dropping down to the CCC like Nolan.

Array Rep Power:       4 Reputation:       413 Yeah, i thought they liked each other as well(well big Sam liked Joey, dont know if the feelings went both ways)
cant see Mike Ashley keeping Joey around much longer, if he continues to open up on his twitter account.
yeah, didnt he say he was the 3rd best English Midfielder last year. He wont go to the CCC, unless he is actually being truthful about this whole "settling down in my area for a long contract" stuff he is touting.Last edited by BobbyMorri; 16th June 2011 at 11:57 PM.

Array Rep Power:       80 Reputation:       8667 BTW should also point out that your target Tranquillo Barnetta is a old favorite of Pardrew. Tried to sign him twice when he was managing us. We had to choose between Benayoun and Barnetta when we first came up and chose Yossi, went after him again but he was out of our price range by then/probably angry at being jerked around first time.
Pretty much a old Pards favorite. Whether he agrees to play under him ill be interested to seeShutup. If I wanted too I could come down there and beat you like a rented mule, or a mule for purchase. Bottom line is if there is livestock involved, ill beat you like it

Array Rep Power:       57 Reputation:       7039 I hope he does, I've rated him for quite some time.
We've also been linked to Blaise Matuidi, not sure why we're looking at another DM but apparently we are.

Array Rep Power:       2 Reputation:       79 Finally decided to sign up.
Happy with the sale of Nolan. Also happy with the push for new signings.
Next season looks promising especially with Ben Arfa and the forgotten man Gosling back from injury. Will be like have two new players.
