Array Rep Power:       40 Reputation:       5607 Yer thanks. I can show you which picks to get..
Locks.
Rockliff - Will only get better.
Redden - Will only get better.
Leuenberger - Will only get better.
Zorko - Will dominate. Start on the field.
Strongly consider.
Brown - Best pre season in a decade. Fittest he has ever been and will play in the NAB cup.
Rich - Big pre season, much leaner, fitter and faster.
Adcock - Experienced rebounder who will play more in the midfield.
Hanley - Minor injury but only good things coming from the report cards. Will play more on the wing in 2012.
Mid pricers.
Harwood - Dominating pre season, will receive more game time.
Banfield - Will be getting more midfield time.
Black - Always good for 90's
Karnezis - He's massive now, his scores will double, could average 80+
Lisle - Hawthorn recruit. Big wraps on him.
Risk picks.
Drummond - Lions might have stopped his injury worries with new technology and a new training plan.
Doherty - Downgrade pick as he's injured right now.
Longer - Good downgrade.

Who posts it?
North MelbourneBye: Round 11 with Brisbane, Greater Western Sydney, Adelaide, West Coast & Western BulldogsTeams play twice: Essendon, Greater Western Sydney, West Coast, Gold Coast and Western Bulldogs
THE STARS
Andrew Swallow (MID)Price: $491,5002011 Avg: 99.4 (22 games)2010 Avg: 98.4 (22 games)
Swallow has had a fantastic couple of years and, as the young midfield around him continues to develop, the new North Melbourne captain should also increase his scoring in the coming seasons. While he might not hit elite premium status, Swallow would still make a reliable, consistent and unique choice for a 6th midfielder. His durability should be an attractive attribute for those targeting a league win.
Todd Goldstein (RUC) – Price: $491,6002011 Avg: 99.4 (21 games)2010 Avg: 74.9 (21 games)
Goldstein had a breakout 2011 and looks ready to stake his claim as the number one ruckman in the comp. However, the impact of McIntosh's return must be considered before locking in Goldy. It must be noted that a large chunk of Goldstein's scoring came from his massive hitout rate (35 per game in 2011) and McIntosh will eat into his ruck time reducing his scoring in that department. At only 23, Goldstein is still developing though and a probable increase in his output around the ground (14 disposals per game in 2011) would mean that he should, at least, maintain his scoring from last season.
Jack Ziebell (MID) – Price: $384,9002011 Avg: 77.8 (21 games)2010 Avg: 66.6 (14 games)
It’s a shame that Ziebell is suspended for the first two games as 2012 will definitely be his breakout season. Jack averaged an impressive 97 pts in the latter half of 2011 (injured game aside) and continued improvement in his fitness suggests that a triple figure season average is attainable. Ziebell is a DT gun in the making.
Leigh Adams (FWD/MID) – Price: $416,4002011 Avg: 84.2 (21 games)2010 Avg: 81.5 (15 games)
Adams is one of those players who could surprise everyone (a la Rawlings 2010) to finish in the top 10 for forwards in overall scores. Largely playing off a half forward flank, Adams managed a respectable average of 84 last season - with more midfield time in 2012, he could start hitting the low 90s. While there are obviously much safer options around his price, he is still worth considering as a unique option.
AVOID
Daniel Wells (MID) – Price: $462,4002011 Avg: 93.5 (21 games)2010 Avg: 82.4 (19 games)
A career best season almost ended tragically as surgery went wrong and threatened his life. Fortunately, he will make a full recovery but he is still avoiding any contact training and is a major doubt for round one. Even if he does make it, he must be given time to hit top form.
Drew Petrie (FWD) – Price: $432,7002011 Avg: 87.5 (21 games)2010: 50.5 (2 games)2009 Avg: 86.9 (22 games)
One of the bargains of 2011, Petrie is too expensive to consider in 2012. A repeat of his All-Australian season would still not be enough to justify his price tag. More suited to SC and much better value around his price in DT.
Brent Harvey (FWD/MID) – Price: $435,7002011 Avg: 88.1 (22 games)2010 Avg: 94.7 (22 games)
While still a valuable member of the team, the veteran's fantasy output is steadily decreasing (see averages above). His best may be past him and his scoring rate will continue to fall.
POTENTIAL BARGAINS
Ryan Bastinac (MID) – Price: $324,4002011 Avg: 65.6 (12 games)2010 Avg: 65.5 (22 games)
Personally, not a fan of picking mid-priced midfielders and would advise to go the Gun/Rookie approach in that position. But there are always young midfielders who explode from nowhere to become star fantasy midfielders. North have plenty of candidates and this boy is the best of them in my opinion. If you want to take a punt on the next Jack Redden, consider Bastinac.
Hamish McIntosh (RUC) – Price: $273,5002011 Avg: 79 (1 game)2010: 80.6 (20 games)2009 Avg: 90.2 (22 games)
Could this be the Drew Petrie of 2012? McIntosh did produce a 90 avg in 2009 but that was as the first choice ruckman with Goldstein as his understudy. This season, the roles are reversed so less time in the ruck would suggest lower scores. In his only game last season, he still managed a very respectable 79 (Goldstein 92) so Hamish could prove a bargain at this price and may even be a keeper. Strongly consider as your second ruckman.
Lindsay Thomas (FWD) – Price: $291,8002011 Avg: 59 (19 games)2010 Avg: 60.2 (18 games)
The frustrating forward had a nightmare in front of goal in 2011 so Scott looks set to convert him into an onballer in 2012! Thomas scored an impressive 112 pts as a midfielder in round 24 last season so he may prove to be one of the big improvers this season. A massive gamble but don't rule him out - monitor his role this preseason.
THE ROOKIES
Aaron Black (FWD) – Price: $150,4002011 Avg: 39 (1 game)
Keep an eye on this boy over preseason. If he could win a starting berth in round one, he may be worth considering as a cash cow. In his third season so the highly rated key forward has to start challenging for a spot in the 22 soon enough.
Will Sierakowski (DEF) – Price: $104,200
North traded their third rounder to Hawthorn for this ready-made half back flanker so he must be part of their plans. Apparently a Matt Suckling clone in playing style – let’s hope he scores like him! Monitor his preseason.
Sam Gibson (MID) – Price: $85,800
I've seen this guy in a few prototype fantasy teams already. He is one of those mature-aged ball magnets that screams DT gold. While he has impressed in preseason (who hasn’t?), he is no certainty for senior team yet. Don’t totally rule him out but I feel there is too much competition for spots in the Roos midfield to lock this guy in. Still needs to be elevated from the rookie list.Last edited by Eboue; 3rd February 2012 at 04:52 PM.
