    A-League: 25th, 26th & 27th November

    A-League: Round 8 Preview

    Friday 25th November
Adelaide United vs Newcastle Jets @ Hindmarsh Stadium
    Saturday 26th November
Central Coast Mariners vs Melbourne Heart @ Bluetongue Stadium
Brisbane Roar vs Perth Glory @ Suncorp Stadium
    Sunday 27th November
Wellington Phoenix vs Sydney FC @ Westpac Stadium
Melbourne Victory vs Gold Coast United @ AAMI Park

Massive game for us, word is that Cassio could miss the season, massive blow if true. CCM vs Melbourne Heart is a tough one to pick considering the Heart's recent form, at $4.10 they are great value. If Roar win/draw they break the Australian sporting record of most match undefeated so will be great to watch, and the Victory game on Sunday will be interesting, if they get done, surely Mehmet will go.

I can see Roar winning 4 or 5 nil here. Breaking the record in style after a few average games..

Looks like a fairly straight forward round result wise.

It never turns out that way though.

Very tasty odds for the Glory, even for the draw, you could trouble them.

He is the worst long range shooter I have ever seen, yet he continually tries it. He did 2 last week that were beyond pathetic, one was a volley from 40 yards that went out the stadium.

Massive game up in Brisbane, big crowd expected, Glory's Tour Of Duty is on this weekend, and I have a feeling we can get a result....will probably get battered though!

Weather is going to cripple crowds this weekend. Raining in Adelaide today, forecast to rain in Brisbane + Central Coast tomorrow and predicted to rain in Melbourne on Sunday.

Yet every once in a while he hits an absolute screamer. I remember there was one in particular against the Victory last season that had no right to even go close yet it went top right corner. He probably didn't mean it, but still.

Anyhoo, my preview for the week is here: Standing On The Precipice: Week 8 A-League Preview - Rick James SportsWorld

I found an interesting stat in that no team has lost yet this season the week after playing Brisbane. I doubt it'll last past this week but it's interesting nonetheless.

Pretty ordinary, has rained virtually all day, just stopped now.

No chance of 10k tonight, it needed to clear up at midday for the fair weather supporters to rock up.

I'll still be there, massive game for us, c'mon you Reds!

Yeah, weather is apparently going to be shit around Australia this weekend. Hopefully Roar can still get 20k on Saturday night as they deserve it. My tips for the round:

    Friday 25th November
Adelaide United vs Newcastle Jets @ Hindmarsh Stadium (3-1) Crowd: 10,088

    Saturday 26th November
Central Coast Mariners vs Melbourne Heart @ Bluetongue Stadium (1-1) Crowd: 9,766
Brisbane Roar vs Perth Glory @ Suncorp Stadium (2-0) Crowd: 19,877

    Sunday 27th November
Wellington Phoenix vs Sydney FC @ Westpac Stadium (0-0) Crowd: 8,122
Melbourne Victory vs Gold Coast United @ AAMI Park (3-0) Crowd: 18,766

It's bucketing down up here at the moment. No idea about the western suburbs though.
