R16: GWS vs. Adelaide - Changes & Discussion

Expecting quite a few changes for this one. Could be looking at:

    OUTs: Tippett (concussion), McKernan (jaw)
INs: Jenkins, Lynch, Johnstone, Petrenko, Callinan, Jaensch, Riley

I think a couple may be rested as well but can't see too many changes given two are/will be enforced.

Feels like we've been making a shitload of changes recently despite the winning form, hard to see that changing this week.

Would like to see Lynch get another crack but once again him not playing up forward in the SANFL doesn't fill me with much confidence, I'd be inclined to play Johnston. Must rest Tippett, it's just not worth the risk.

    I'd go:
    IN: Jenkins, Johnston, Callinan, Petrenko
    OUT: Tippett, McKernan, Smith, McIntyre/Knights

I'd like to see Jenko come back into the squad. Thought McIntyre played well, so will be good to see him stay.

I just don't want resting coming back to bite us in the form of a loss to the traffic cones.

R17 you play us, so resting some players would be a good idea. Also expecting to see a lot of changes, after all it is GWS...

Agree with BS, can't afford to flirt with form and plus percentage is becoming increasingly important.

Just heard on the news that Petrenko & Callinan are only outside chances of playing.

I don't know about you guys, but for some reason I want to see Symes in our side in the midfield to see whether he can translate what he's doing in the SANFL into the Crows side. Usually been a big hater of his kicking which has cost us a bit but Craig usually had him across half back where it seems he'd be best suited to the midfield.

I think Jenkins in for McKernan has to happen if Tippett misses as Jacobs will need a rest from the ruck at some stage during the game.

If his final act as a Crows player is to deck Chadley behind play then I'm totally of that.

It would be nice if Aidan Riley's SANFL form could be rewarded with a game or two. Is Lyons back from injury?

Would we really miss out on that much by not playing Doughty though? Along with Johncock and Otten, he's stuck out like a sore thumb in our backline for much of this year. Too slow and set in his ways.

I want to drop him but will settle for giving Brown a couple of "sighter" games.

I call for Doughty to be dropped every week.

Not a fan of resting Thommo etc., blow them out early and he can spend the rest of the game cruising around picking up cheap ball.

Lyons came back in the SANFL ressies on the weekend, no idea who for since Glenelg had the bye.

It's a tough one - because resting players for the WCE game would be advantageous but we also need to improve our percentage.

Doughty out this week with his wife expected to give birth.

Tippett, Callinan and Petrenko will be given every chance to play.

Sando adamant we will not rest anyone.

Listening to Sando's press conference from today and it sounds like we'll approach the game as Hawthorn did and go for percentage. So given we have the worst percentage of the top 5/6 this could get ugly.

Tippett hasn't been ruled out. If he passes the fitness test on Friday then he will play, even though I really don't want him to.
