Collingwood like to cruise along and really hit the go button in that last term.
I think you need at least a 6 goal lead to hold on. Eagles could get close and even a couple of goals up at 3qtr time but I don't think they can win.

Array Rep Power:       45 Reputation:       7785 Just glad we are in with at least a small chance playing Collingwood this time around. It's been pretty ugly playing them since 2007.
Hope the young guys make the most of playing on the MCG, in front of a big crowd, and against the reigning premiers. The experience could come in handy sooner than we thought.

Array Rep Power:       3 Reputation:       128 First half you guys are down, umpires aren't helping your cause in the slightest and your ball use has been a bit down on the previous games I've seen of you... bit patchy.
But you guys are still looking ok.

Our disposal inside 50 is the glaring fault today, it needs improving against good teams like Collingwood.

Reckon we were okay today. Collingwood were on fire, some ridculous goals by daisy and krakouer .
Our delivery inside 50 was awful today, just bombing it long and hoping. We need more dynamic players against the top teams, we are too slow.
Looked tired at the end of the game so I'd hope we give some players a rest and bring in strijk, swift and hams.#FirstTakeCrew #TIACMB

They just have too much class for us.

The young eagles seemed a little timid and seemed a little stage fright. This is understandable, facing the premiers at the 'G in front of a hostile Collinwood "faithful". Its a big step up from Subi or any other venue, many players in our team have hardly played there, it makes a huge difference. Especially against a Powerhouse like the reigning Premiers.
In patches we looked like the eagles of old, we panicked when we had the footy. Clearly a result of the outstanding Collingwood press and pressure they put on the ball handler. We tended to just "bomb" the ball inside 50 and there stellar defence would read this with precision.
The eagles seem to lack a creative half back flanker. I know we have Shannon Hurn and Brad Shappeard is learning with each game, we just need a Brett Deledio, Andrew Mcleod, Leon Davis type who is very good at setting up play.
I still like the look of the eagles forward line though, but sometimes it seems a little "top heavy" with LeCras being our only real small crumbing forward and at times he pushes up the ground so we dont have a crumbing forward, the top 4 sides at the current time all have good crumbers ( Varcoe/ Stokes. Krakouer/Thomas. Rioli and Jetta)
The eagles still look to be a top 6 side though there forward press and pressure is still one of the best in the competition. a loss to the Premiers isnt Diss-heartening, its a learning experience. A top 6 finish is still my prediction.
GO EAGLES!
