Array Rep Power:       8 Reputation:       1283 I just gave Gusa figure on what a poor coach is getting. What I've heard is that both Hird and Thompson are getting well over a mil a year backed by the owner of Toll.

Array Rep Power:       2 Reputation:       118 I thought that there would be on the main news today that he had been given the sack.
But so far nothing. Personally I think he is on the way out.
And this could very well come down to him actually throwing in the towel.
Who should replace him? I am not one to say Mick as I think he is more of a fuit loop who would make the player paly even worse.
Maybe Lyon but from what I have heard him say he isn't interested in that role he doesn't mind mentoring players though.
Maybe just throw the second incharge in for the rest of the year, as it can't get any worse from here.If you read it or even see it doesn't always mean it is true.

Array Rep Power:       2 Reputation:       118 With all the crap that is going on I don't think he will last at all.
But I do hear what you are saying, now the but.
I have heard that a coach is safe, and the next week they are at centerlink looking for a job.If you read it or even see it doesn't always mean it is true.

Array Rep Power:       59 Reputation:       7259 Disagree. It's not his fault he's been left a list with very few talented players. He can only do so much, if the players aren't buying into his plans, that comes down to personal desire and a want to succeed.

Array Rep Power:       43 Reputation:       7581 There's no point booting Neeld unless there is a proven better option lined up. Did it with Bailey last year, and it hasn't helped. Cycle would just repeat.
The people making these decisions need to move on from Melbourne, but unfortunately they are probably the only ones who can sack themselves too. And it's easier for them to blame everyone else.
Every management team member and administrator there should have to reapply for their jobs to see if they are still the best candidate.

Array Rep Power:       8 Reputation:       1283 Disagree. Firstly he and the club had the chance to get rid of a lot deadwood but only rid of 3 players not including Scully who left the club.
His job is to get the team playing as a competitive team on a consistent basis and he's not doing it so he has to be at fault. He's not the only one at fault but to say he shouldn't take any of the blame because the club is pathetic is ridiculous.
Melbourne can't go backwards any further, they may stagnate and stay shit forever but they can't go backwards whether they get rid of Neeld or not.

Array Rep Power:       8 Reputation:       1283 That is the problem when you are crap, nobody wants to risk their reputation in taking over a basket case. I just don't know how any team could handle being worse than the expansion clubs in only their first and second years and a loss to GWS or GCS at home would guarantee that we are worse than them. I find it hard to believe that any club would just cop it sweet and move on from it with no ramifications to the coaching staff.
