    It's not the worst record.
We were lucky as fuck to get that win in October.

If you take that out we win 1 out of the last 5. Not the greatest record.

Yes you got a tough run home, that's why 3 points today had to be a given. Wigan was easily the most winnable of the lot, if you're going to be satisfied with a 4-0 loss to Wigan then don't bother turning up to the last few games to compete for the Champions League.
It's hard to be pissed off with any stage of our season, given the expectations at the start of it.

I can guarantee you that we will play better football against City, Chelsea and Everton. Thats a given.

THis results also gives us a reality check. Better get it out of the system now, rather that against Everton on the final day when we need to win to claim 4th spot.

You're clutching at straws if that's your argument, football is full of if's and but's, I'm sure all of those results I posted could have been different in 1 way or another.

Putting things into perspective, certainly. It's been a massive season for Newcastle, but you can look at things collectively when the season is done and dusted, right now you have a chance to be in one of the most lucrative tournaments in world sport, it's no use busting your hump for 34 rounds then getting bent over by Wigan to spoil the party.

Why are we looking at the Wigan game in isolation?

What about the 5-0 loss at Spurs? 2-1 loss at Arsenal after gifting them a goal in injury time? 2-2 draw at home against Wolves after being 2-0 up? 5-1 or whatever it was loss at Fulham?

How many of our next 3 matches does everyone think we can win?

I'm thinking draw at Chelsea, lose to City and beat Everton.

If are out the title race you may be able to grab a point against them.

    FFS. Fuck I hate Stoke.

Must beat Norwich at home this coming weekend. Nothing else will be acceptable.

Because it's at the business end of the season so to speak.

If United lose to City Monday and then lose the title, people will point to Monday's result as why United lost the title, not when they got pummeled 6-1 by City earlier in the season. I agree, those results are equally as important but this result could sting most.

You said yourself that football is a game of if's and but's. I don't agree with just looking at one result.

That is going to be a huge match.

For our sake I hope you lose, you I can see a 3-0 or 3-1 result in your favour.

    Expectations and different circumstances.
