I'm serious, every mailbox post on F365 from Brum fans were exceedingly negative. I suppose 'hate' is the wrong word, but I was only trying to prove a point. They think he's overrated, though.

Well when he joined Villa he said he was a 'lifelong Villa fan' then when he joined Brum he said he was a 'lifelong Brum fan' so he probably just wants to GTFO out Birmingham.

I disagree with the assumption that Gardner pulled his stats last year playing as a CM in a 4-4-2. Infact I cant recall seeing Gardiner ever playing CM in a flat 4-4-2. Everytime Brum went to that formation Gardner went wide right. In a CM spot in that formation he suffers from the same positional and defensive problems Cahill and Dempsey do.

Do you know anything about the Gibson rumors? I just assumed like Wickham its a matter of when as opposed to if he ends up at the club. Man United want the money, they just got to convince Gibson to leave id say.

Nah thats just poo. IMO Wes Brown will wonder of to a Bolton/Everton/Newcastle as bench backup once again (knees surely cant cut it as a full time starter) and O'Shea will stay.

Gervinho is rumoured to be flying into London today to negotiate a deal with Arsenal. Why does every Wenger deal take so long? This could have been done weeks ago.

Then we will bid for Cahill again with a rumoured player swap to reduce the fee. Lansbury and maybe Miquel could go the other way which is no real loss for us.

We are also struggling to get rid of Almunia (I wonder why...) and need to get rid of Squillaci if we want to get Samba as well as Cahill.

No way your getting rid of Lansbury. He was superb for Norwich and has a bright future ahead of him. Doubt Wenger would get rid of at any price.

Considering Notlob are trying to flog of Matt Taylor to Leicester and us id suggest the player involved in the deal might be a Carlos Vela.

Do Arsenal understand that they are crying out for reinforcements in their back four and goalkeepers, Gervinho doesn't help that.

I suppose his trying to get this piece of marketing done but if i was Arsene i would've tried and signed Cahill in June and targeted players like Gervinho when the international markert opens.

Boltons couldnt afford to pay Rosicky wages financially. Same would apply to uber duds like Almunia and Squillaci so if players do head in the other direction they will be youngsters on reasonably low wages id imagine

I agree we should be sorting out the back four ASAP, but Gervinho is a quality signing and is an upgrade on Bendtner if we sell him.

You will find Gervinho is coming in as a replacement as opposed to a addition. Reason its being done so early is because Lille came out and said they wouldnt allow for any late departures/no departures before replacements type scenario.

Gervinho was probably agreed upon weeks ago but hasnt been sent to hold talks until Lille wrapped up the purchase of Payet yesterday.
