Some undrafted players are heading to the CFL. Normally now is when they would all receive tender offers from franchises for pre-season and training camps, but all these players are being denied that because of the lockout. Without a second tier minor league system the UFL and CFL are the only real refuges for these undrafted players until we see some headway on the lockout.
I can almost guarantee teams would have contacted some of these undrafted players anyway though. Just like how they all had ready play-books on standby to give to veteran players who can "choose" to pass them on to the newly drafted ones. :P
I can't wait till the lockout is over.

Now who will be the Arian Foster of this year? "Homie, maybe we should go inside."
"But, Marge, that little guy hasn't done anything yet. Look at him. He's going to do something and you know it's going to be good."

Array Rep Power:       47 Reputation:       4973 If lockout is lifted before training camps then the GMs and coaches will have had a list of undrafted players prepared. There will just be a mad scramble for players once it's lifted probably. Some hall of famers didn't get drafted.

Someone is going to do something stupid during this mad rush once the lockout is over and teams are going to be taken for a ride. I can only imagine what Philadelphia is going trick Arizona into giving up for Kolb. Eagles could very well have a free top ten pick next year.

Kolb is basically unproven, yet we all know the Iggles are going to get away with highway robbery. Bulger and McNabb aren't long-term solutions.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=6557162
MINNEAPOLIS -- The NFL's lockout remains in place, a federal appeals court ruled Monday. That means the league likely won't get back to business until at least next month -- and maybe much longer than that.
The 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals said the lockout can stay until a full appeal is heard on whether it is legal. That hearing is scheduled for June 3 in St. Louis, before the same panel that issued this 2-1 decision.
Only a matter of time before the NFLPA (or whatever they want to be called now) asks for a new CBA to be tabelled to them now. They won't win whatever war they were trying to fight, the owners were always going to get their way in the end.

Array Rep Power:       47 Reputation:       4973 Owners want a bigger cut of the NFL's total revenue (which exceeds $10bn p/a) and the players are refusing that in the face of probable pay cuts. NFL and NFL owners want to play an 18 game schedule, players want to keep it at 16 instead of risking further injury by playing more games a year.
About the only thing they agree on is a pay-scale for rookies so we don't see the farcical situation of newly drafted players signing contracts with $60m guaranteed money.
I think, anyway.
It's a pretty stupid situation and it will be resolved before there is any damage done to the season. Unlike every other sporting league in the world, there are no NFL franchises running at a loss. They all make money. Even a team like the Bills, who play in a tiny television market and haven't made the playoffs since the 21st century began, are making a profit. Because there's so much money to lose this will end before the season begins.

Array Rep Power:       45 Reputation:       6547 the nfl and owners opted out of the last CBA deal on 2008 which expired this year. the owners and players couldnt agree on a new deal so the players have taken them to court. the players have been locked out of all facilites and can talk to coaches. the players leaders have taken it upon themselves to organise workouts over the summer with the players, like new orleans qb Drew Brees who has paid for his team to stay in a motel together and practice during the day.
the nfl makes like billion a year from television or maybe thats everything including tickets, merchandise. the owners normally take 1 billion from that before sharing with the players but they want more before they share it. the owners want more money to so they can build more stadiums or uprade them since governments are broke and wont give them much. minnesota have the worst stadiums and the roof actually collapsed last year during a snow storm. the owners of the vikings want the state government to fund them a stadium but the state is broke.
another reason is the owners want to limit how much rooies can make, the number pick can make like a 5 year 50 million when they sign a deal but thats way too much to pay a player who could be a bust like Jamacus russell. the owners also want to increase the regular season from 16 games to 18 but the players are deadseat against this as the comp is already physically draining. the players dont really believe the owners are losing money unlike the nba in which the owners of those teams are going broke.
