A bit out of left field. I Pick up our new Jetta on Friday, It's a brand new car which is my first ever. I really dislike all car insurance companies. Are some better than others? Sorry Eagles SGIO just plain suck, I'm looking at a few, but there seems to be huge differences in complete cover. Buzz are like half the price compared to Alliance. I just don't want to be one of those people who make a claim one day and get shafted because I didn't read the clause on page 9. Would anyone please recommend a decent car insurer?

Array Rep Power:       43 Reputation:       7607 No expert, but from the little I know - for a new car, particularly something a bit different like a Volkswagen you need to make sure they will replace anything faulty with original Volkswagen parts, not just any crap. Pretty sure SGIO don't garantee replacement that.
Might be worth trying somewhere like Shannons. Just make sure when you ring them up you say yes when asked if you are a motoring enthusiast. They make you say yes as they only insure motoring enthusiasts.

Array Rep Power:       29 Reputation:       5340 I'm insured with justcar insurance. Specialise in cover for under 25's and their comprehensive cover doesn't have any loopholes/clauses. Relatively cheap compared to the same coverage I looked at with other companies.
My car got damaged in the xmas day hail storm last year and they wrote it off and paid me out which allowed me to buy a brand new car this year so I reckon they are pretty solid

Array Rep Power:       25 Reputation:       4933 Been with a few which were pretty faggy but am now actually insured through our bank (Bank SA/St George). All I know is that it is just under $70 per month, full comprehensive for my missus and I. Get a free windscreen replacement once per year. Have utilized this once and the dude came out to our house one arvo and installed it.
They are also pretty prompt aswell. When I had my Landcruiser I had an Asian chick pull out in front of me, hit her. Had no actual damage to the vehicle, just the bullbar bent in on the left hand side. Called up and claimed on the Tuesday. Friday arvo took it in to their assessor, told him I'd get it fixed through a mate's business and had $1800 in my account the next week.
I tell you what that bullbar never ended up back in shape in the time I had it
You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to breeno again
