Ships and helicopters are continuing to search for more than 120 people missing after a ferry sank off Papua New Guinea's north coast on Thursday.
More than 230 people rescued in a joint Australian-PNG operation have reached the eastern PNG town of Lae, officials said on Friday.
The search for the missing - mostly university students - resumed at daylight.
An official said there were fears people had been trapped in the ferry.

Array Rep Power:       40 Reputation:       6585 Flag-maker says Swastika will stay despite Jewish anger | News.com.au
A DEFIANT flag-maker says Nazi flags flying outside his home will not be removed.
Angry members of the Melbourne Jewish community have demanded the swastika and SS flags flying outside the Carrum property be removed, according to Mordialloc Chelsea Leader.
Flag-maker Rob Boot said he would not remove the flags from his front yard along the Nepean Highway because of the complaints.
"I’m just a flag salesman and it's just merchandise to me," Mr Boot said.
"I’m at liberty to display what I want on my own property.
"There’s no political message behind it at all."
Mr Boot said he did not believe the flags were offensive.

Array Rep Power:       40 Reputation:       6585 Aaron's web disaster followed by $150,000 legal threat
Who's the web host of TIA"I have just lost my entire business and now they [are] trying to sue me?"
February has not been a good month for Perth journalist Aaron Ryan, owner of the TVCentral.com.au website.
Ryan, who has limited tech knowledge, had only owned the website for about four months when a week ago it was lost forever after a botched attempt to move it to a new server.
Ryan admits that he was partly at fault in the data loss matter because he did not have a private back up but still believes VentraIP staff were negligent in allowing his site data to be deleted before it had been transferred to the new server.
"They will talk about emails that were ignored or back ups not done but the actual cause of the data loss was that I cancelled the account ... why did I cancel the account? Simply because they sent me an email instructing me to," he said.
"I had two accounts with them as one account was being migrated to another and they instructed me to cancel the original one. Problem was the site had not migrated to the other as yet so boom all lost."
Would be so so mad if something like this happened here
