Array Rep Power:       24 Reputation:       3326 Laws takes killer call
And from the NSW Police Force Facebook page..."I'm gonna kill people," said the caller. And he didn't sound as though he was kidding. It's been a long time since John Laws took a call from a desperate person intent on suicide or homicide or both. But today through one of the Supernetwork stations in Lismore, he took a call from Brad who was seriously intending to take an automatic weapon into the NRMA, who he felt had done him wrong. Listen as Laws tries to placate the man.
A man has been charged and bailed refused for making threats of serious harm against employees of businesses in northern NSW earlier today (Tuesday 19 May 2012).
About 9.30am, a 48-year-old man contacted a Sydney radio station where he allegedly made a number of threats that were broadcast live to air.
Police were subsequently contacted and made a number of inquiries to identify and locate the man.
At 11.30am, Lismore Police attended a house on Taylors Road, Chillcotts Grass where they arrested a man.
He was taken to Lismore Police Station and charged with using a carriage service to make threats of serious harm.
A crime scene was established at the Chillcotts Grass premises. No firearms were located or seized.
The man faced Lismore Local Court late today and was remanded to re-appear tomorrow (Wednesday 20 June 2012).
The audio in the first link is seriously WTF.Last edited by Damon_3388; 19th June 2012 at 08:01 PM.

Petrol prices dropping rapidly, stoked to see it around the $1.24 mark, but they said on the news last night this has been the prices on the eastern seaboard for 2-3 weeks. How does this happen?
The so-called 'petrol watchdog' are absolutely pathetic, all talk and no action.

I like how the story specifically leaves out the woman's ethnicity but I am sure everyone thought "Asian, probably Vietnamese" as soon as they saw the headline.Jimmies Status

Well, Your Honor. We've plenty of hearsay and conjecture. Those are kinds of evidence.

Array Rep Power:       59 Reputation:       9995 Probably cos ethnicity should have nothing to do with the reporting of this story, unless you wanted to try and create outrage with the lowest common denominator

Anyway, quite a good article in the SMH today re the current immigration debates going on

One of the great tirades from a true leader of a country. How did we go from this twenty years ago to Gillard, Abbott and cronies all through Canberra at present.

A DINGO has tried to drag a teenage girl away from her parents while she was in her sleeping bag at a camping ground in the Northern Territory.Rebecca Robinson, 13, was startled by the dingo after she woke up to find it dragging her from her parents' caravan at Aurora Kakadu Lodge, The Northern Territory News reports.
Her mother Kate Robinson of Benalla, Victoria said she now understands how a dingo could have taken Lindy Chamberlain-Creighton daughter Azaria on August 17 1980."We have been talking about it constantly saying how we can totally understand how that can happen."
Them Dingoes...

Array Rep Power:       24 Reputation:       3326 Schoolboy tied to tree in Syd bashing
Obviously not a good thing to happen to anyone, but I had to lol at the bolded part.A 14-year-old boy's in hospital with severe facial injuries after being tied to a tree and bashed by four teenagers over what police believe was a schoolyard dispute.
Police say the boy was riding his BMX bike through Tandarra Reserve at Shalvey, in Sydney's west, when he was ambushed by four males about 4.30 (AEST) yesterday afternoon.
He was then tied to a tree with a piece of cord and kicked and punched.
They also cut off the boy's mullet hairstyle and stole the sim card from his phone.
The boy was taken to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition with severe facial injuries. It's such a fine line between stupid and clever.
