Mick Malthouse Appreciation Thread
Loving Mick's take on the game, he is probably the only commentator/analyst that gives you really good insight and is brutally honest as well.

"Homie, maybe we should go inside."
"But, Marge, that little guy hasn't done anything yet. Look at him. He's going to do something and you know it's going to be good."

Also amazing on 3AW radio.

Array Rep Power:       78 Reputation:       12160 Great acquisition by the media. It's great to have him in the box.
The other guy who I used to really rate as a commentator was Buckley so I'm hoping he gets the arse within 3 years and returns to commentary.

Array Rep Power:       19 Reputation:       2900 Like Mick's commentary. He is worth listening to because he gives you an insight into tactics and what would be going through a coaches mind. And is completely honest in everything he says. Guy knows his shit, as well as anyone who commentates the game.

Loved his commentary during the richmond/dees game, a lot of "melbourne need to stop mucking around" .

Array Rep Power:       10 Reputation:       1343 Saves that Saturday Arvo team from being a complete train wreck. It's still a car crash though. Mick deserves better company in the commentary box.

Array Rep Power:       10 Reputation:       1343 At least Bruce isn't a complete pleb though, unlike Hamish and Basil. That said, the only way that Saturday arvo team could be made worse is if they replaced Malthouse with Luke Darcy.
As a side note, they should keep Brett Kirk for special segments/features instead of having him on the matchday team. He would be much better used doing that sort of thing, plays to his strengths a bit more. Don't like seeing him in a job that he isn't that great at, too much of a legend

Array Rep Power:       24 Reputation:       4332 Certainly doesn't hold back in his comments and criticisms of players, more than willing to tell it how it is, which is exactly what you want. Great footballing mind and fantastic to listen to.
