Array Rep Power:       89 Reputation:       15170 Does it mean it doesn't have a distributor in Australia (no one wanted to take a risk with it, ie spend the money to get it and have empty cinemas?)
in saying that i watched "exit through the gift shop" in a cinema with 1 other dude at the George when it was released
and i'm tipping it never played to a full house

The release of films later in different countries is mainly because of reduced costs to the cinemas here. As flight said for example, The Rum Diary is not expected to be a hit, so it would cost them much less (and be a lesser risk) to bring it on the cheap a few months late. Blockbuster films, which are expected to bring in money, are rarely released too late.
Also, i'm pretty sure the number of film prints available plays a part too, no distribution company wants to spend big on a film not expected to make money, so they make limited prints and then recycle them worldwide.Screw you guys, I'm going home...

Array Rep Power:       12 Reputation:       1827 J Edgar - 4/10. Am being generous with the rating. Eastwood isn't a very good director and the film is a bit of a mess.
Hugo - 10/10. Brilliant in 3d, great story, very heartfelt, anyone should enjoy.

Wow. Intense as. Rated 18+ for a reason. Really graphic, felt a bit sorry for the couple next to me in the cinemas, don't know if they were expecting a love romance but would have been so weird to watched with a loved one. Fassbender was great. Mulligan gets fully naked and that's so weird for me after seeing Drive like 6 times. And she's plays such a different character too (although at times it feels a bit similar). Felt like it went forever, maybe because I knew it was 101 minutes and kept thinking it was going to end.
