The confrontation (and moments proceeding) with Thorwald in Rear Window is Hitchcock, and suspenseful cinema, at its very finest. Just a phenomenal film that doesn't get stale no matter how many times I watch it.

Did quite a few Hitchcock films during HS, as I did those Media classes for a few years. Psycho, The Birds, North By Northwest, and I think Dial M for Murder. Rear Window never came up
And of course, this generation of casual film watchers will never watch a film from the 50s/60s. I have a few friends that watch quite a bit of film, and I reckon there is a combined maybe 3 complete Hitchcock films viewings. They might have maybe seen Psycho and possibly The Birds. So there you can't say on a movie night, hey lets watch a Hitchcock film. Would be greeted with a room of deathstares

Excellent film. Really the only let down was the ending, which was way too hollywood compared to the actual film itself. Hated people complaining about the 'realism' of the film, when it is pretty clear it is more about the human condition than it is about MMA, the MMA was a backdrop for two seperate stories about brothers who were facing their own problems.
Nolte was great, but IMO both leads were amazing, so convincing in their portrayal. Also, I know this is a minor thing, but they nailed the accents considering Hardy is English and Edgerton is Australian.Screw you guys, I'm going home...

Pleasantly surprised, Athomas was right
, really enjoyed this flick from start to finish, kept me interested the whole time, never any slow spots, no dumbass ending which I was expecting, also Amanda Seyfried
dem eyes

Good solid movie, nothing groundbreaking, but the fact that it's on 12% on rottentomatoes perplexes me...
Check it out

It's only a five because of Gabriella Wilde"Homie, maybe we should go inside."
"But, Marge, that little guy hasn't done anything yet. Look at him. He's going to do something and you know it's going to be good."

If you are 35+ go see it. If you are not, don't. Is how I would sum it up!
Hard to like a movie when they don't leave the room for the WHOLE MOVIE. I don't care if that's a spoiler, you guys deserve to know that!

Hardy and Edgerton were brilliant, the movie covered the whole family separation issue perfectly.
