Not much of a movie really, child actors were terrible, but fuck those last scenes were way too close to what its like having your dog put down, too soon.

Fuck it, Drive is my favourite movie this year, I'm still thinking about it even after seeing it, some imagery really sticks with you, sorry Source Code...

Did you find it confusing because with how all the flash backs were not in order I found myself quiet lost as to what was going on...

Also RE Drive, I guess I must be one of the few that wasn't so impressed by it. With all the talk about it, I was expecting it to be a great movie but I thought it was quite shallow in the end. It was a good movie but hardly something I'd recommend to anyone either (probably give it a 6/7 out of 10).

I guess my opinion is a little bit similar. For the most part I thought it was great, but there is no doubt in my mind that it tried to be way too artsy, especially towards the end, and it came off extremely pretentious because of that. However, the actual story, and film set up was brilliant up until then, and I ended up giving it an 8/10.

My two friends who I went to see it with thought it was downright bad which surprised me. Basically they said it was trying to be an action movie without the action, which just made it a mess in the end.

Mr Snrub Have you purchased City of God yet? You really should just bite the bullet and do it. I will personally guarantee you love it, or your money back*

I went over to Joondalup shops and asked for it in Big W, Target, K-Mart and JB Hifi but no one had it...

Also regarding Drive have you heard the story of the scorpion and the frog? Because it is genius how it applies to the movie.

Yeah I know about that story. They also mentioned it in the film as well if I remember correctly.

Yeah I found it a bit contradicting that at the start he was going on about the 5minute time period of how he will stay in the car and get them away no matter what, making it feel like this is all he does and all he will ever do. Then what only feels like a week later he's capable of shooting, fighting etc like his done it his whole life yet he seems to make such a big deal (routine) of what he did behind the wheel on a crime.

I like how his character started being the quiet guy who just gets things done but with how they tried to play out his relationship, I expected we would get more out of him maybe some emotion yet he didn't change at all and it made me feel like he didn't really care that much about the people he was going out of his way to protect which really gave me the shits.

Don't get me wrong, I liked the movie but I thought it could have been something great with how it started but it just didn't reach that level for me.

City of God is one I've been meaning to watch after seeing its rating on IMDB, looking forward to watching it when I get a bit of time/get in the right mood for a movie.

Dat Moby song in the credits.

"What if I can't find her?................ Shouldn't be too hard, she's standing right beside you"

"Get some sleep Pam, you're looking a little tired"
TakingthePapiss and Mr Snrub like this.
